DISTRACTED ON PURPOSE

How social media was built to keep our attention — and why believers can’t afford to lose it!

Social media didn’t become addictive by accident. It was built that way. What started as a tool to help people stay connected slowly turned into something else — something that trains attention, rewards reaction, and keeps people coming back longer than they planned. Over time, that kind of constant pull changes how people think, how they wait, and how present they are with one another. Most of us didn’t notice it happening. And here we are!

This episode looks at what that means for everyday life and for the Church. Not with panic, and not with calls to disappear from the digital world, but with clarity. Social media isn’t going away, and it will keep doing what it was designed to do. The question is how believers are called to live inside that reality. Scripture reminds us where our focus belongs, and the Holy Spirit gives us the strength to walk in discernment rather than distraction. The call hasn’t changed — to fix our eyes on Christ and to use every tool wisely to point others to Him.

Grateful you’re here.

— Pablo
