DECEPTION SERIES - Session 1: Lights, Camera, Deception

Eric & I begin this session with a discussion of the Star Trek TV series and motion pictures and its creator, humanist Gene Roddenberry. We also discuss various aspects of Hollywood's influences and how Believers can be affected. One point that hit a nerve is the advantage we unwittingly lend Satan through some of our viewing habits.

We're instructed in 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22 to biblically test everything, including whatever we bring into our eyes and ears. Besides for our own protection, consider that we Christians subject God the Holy Spirit to whatever we see and hear. We conclude that Christians best consider the Lord's unchanging standards in every aspect of life, including our entertainment. If we do, blessings will follow.
