"X" Doesn't Mark The Spot!
Take Jeff Goldblum's fabulous advice: "It’s best not to stare at the sun during an eclipse." Though humorous, very true!
PLEASE REMEMBER: If you are going to witness this amazing wonder, PLEASE make sure that you use proper eye protection for viewing a solar eclipse.
I just wanted to write a quick note and let you all know that the solar eclipse that is happening across 13 states on April 8th is, well...just that...a solar eclipse! Nothing more than that. It is a magnificent display of the awesome creative power and purpose of God. It is an opportunity for us to once again stand in awe of the awesome God that we serve!
My plea to the body of Christ is that we not allow "prophetic sensationalism" to creep into our minds and hearts. This is nothing other than a wonderful total solar eclipse!
No, the "X" doesn't mark our land. I've heard far too many prophecy "experts" say that when talking about the April 8th eclipse in conjunction with the 2017 eclipse, as if it’s some sort of celestial judgement over our land (that’s a topic for a coming podcast).
It has no prophetic significance. It's just a Solar Eclipse!
Now, I'm not saying that some at "the top" might not use this event to their advantage and create some sort of nefarious "situation", but remember that the Lord sees ALL, knows ALL! He's in total control. NOTHING comes as a surprise to Him.
With that said, let me just say that a total solar eclipse is a very rare and amazing occurrence. So, my advice to you is to enjoy this spectacular sight in the sky that will be visible from our country.
If you want to get a glimpse of a prophetic event that's going to happen, including the darkening of the sun, and you're out witnessing this amazing solar eclipse, allow the following verse to sink in and give you just a little glimpse of the end of the tribulation period as Jesus described it in Matthew 24:29:
"Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken."
To help understand solar eclipses, the company I work for called Illustra Media/The John 10:10 Project released a solar eclipse movie years ago called “A Perfect Solar Eclipse”. A beautiful short film for all to watch and enjoy!
