What a touching article of truth once again! God bless you Pablo for writing this. You are so right. Years gone by the people of the church would wait, seek , pray and wait some more for the moving in their lives from the Lord. The church services were holy, reverent, and there was no specific time to dismiss. Now, we want everything , including our church services to be like takeout. Ordered and pickup and go and repeat. How sad. I am old enough to remember those days of spirit lead teachings, spirit filled, joyful praise and worship that touched the heart and built one up for the coming week. Our lives have become a time clock and we give less and less time to the One who matters and who holds our very breath in His hands. He deserves more than we can possibly give. But what we are giving in recent days is shamefully weak and not what He is worthy of. IF we humble ourselves, as the scripture you quote says, truly humble, we would see God move in such special ways, even we would be surprised. God is not stingy with His blessings, when the people truly are His servants and not servants of themselves or man.

God bless and keep letting God speak to your heart and writing these articles. They are so encouraging and thought provoking!

Yes,I agree completely. I am so blessed to be a part of the body that loves the pure word. I never go away without some kind of conviction and humblimg from Jesus words. I find it rather safe. Blessings Pablo.

Thank you Pablo. I've been hearing a lot of messages lately about salvation producing obedience. God has been speaking to me a lot. Thank you for defining pride vs humility. It gives me something to ponder. I'm definitely guilty of a largely transactional relationship with God. I often think about the words "I never knew you" and work on developing a relationship with God rather than just coming with a list of wants.
