Timely article Pablo. As true as it was for Paul addressing the Church at Corinth nearly 2000 years ago how much more it is for the Church today as we are in the last of the last days.
Paul also addressed this in:
1 Timothy 4:1 (NKJV) Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
I believe we all know someone that has walked off the path into compromise. I’ve observed that there’s a common denominator with compromise, a lack of being in the Word. To me this is where the compromise starts, the departing from God’s Word.
My prayer is that the Lord would use us to lead those who have strayed back to restored fellowship with Jesus.
Hi Ben. Yes, I believe we live in an age where we have an epidemic in lack of biblical discernment. That is due to (as you said) a willful disinterest and ignorance in the Word of God within the church. The only One that can truly turn this all around is Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!
We are truly living in prophetic times! Should things continue as they are, and I believe they will, like I stated in the post, I am convinced that our "flight" is coming to an end. I hope and pray that the Spirit of the living God will move the church to share His timeless message of hope and redemption with a world that is in such desperate need of Him.
May the Lord bless you too! Thanks so much for leaving your thoughts here.
Hi Heather! Thank you for the kind words! Sadly enough, I really don't think the church is coming back from this. I do believe that the Holy Spirit is still moving in the lives of many, but, on a national level, I'm not so sure that we will see another 'Jesus Movement' this side of the rapture. I might be wrong, but, I'm not seeing a 2 Chronicles 7:14 'IF' for the church. I pray and hope I'm wrong.
So, so glad you enjoyed the read. May the Lord bless you.
Pablo…such true words! This is why the “Church”, has lost it’s influence. Even in little small community where I live, they have excused behaviours of congregants for years and it has poisoned unbelievers and even those who once walked with the Lord to stay far from the place. Mostly despising attitudes towards others in the church who were willing to do things, that they didn’t want to do themselves, but hated when others did it. It seems they would sabotage any good thing that tried to get off the ground. Overall, the Church Pastors over the years ignored things and attitudes or were part of the problem. It has damaged our little church, to where no one has come to the Lord in years and no Sunday School, no mens fellowship, no young peoples ministry or woman’s ministry. Just a handful of older people go ,warm the seat and repeat each week. It is so sad.
Husband and I left during the covid mess as they required the jab to attend and went thru all the protocols etc. Even during the outside, open air as we call them,,they said do not open windows or trunks and park six feet apart! How ridiculous did that look! Anyway,,,not only do the bigger churches have their serious moral issues,,smaller churches have other types of issues that still diminish its influence.
God bless you in all you do and may we soon hear the call. “Come Up Here!” 🎺🆙🙏🏻
Until then we must press forward and be a light in a dark world that is getting darker by the hour!
Hi Lori! Indeed the church has lost much of its influence...you are very correct. I truly believe that the church, big or small, is nearing the end of its calling. This tells me that the the Lord is at the cusp of coming for His Bride. I'm reminded of the parable of the wheat and tares, and yes, that also applies to those behind the pulpit. We must continue to push forward and share the Good News with whoever is willing to listen.
In my humble opinion, based on the unchanging behavior of the church and its continued embrace of the world, that compromise will continue to get worse and worse should the Lord tarry. Praise God for the hope we have in Him! May the Lord bless you and your husband in all you do...especially as you seek Him for wisdom and direction.
What a remarkable summation of what's happening. How is it that' it's so 'obvious', yet 'covered' so well? Satan. This is exactly what I needed to read today ~ I've been struggling with not having retuned to a building to worship since the Plannedemic. I just cannot force myself to go in there. It's no excuse that I'm old, or that I live in a very rural area, or that I'm by nature a very reclusive person. I keep hearing and seeing materials that tell me I MUST take part in 'religious' community activities, like I did for forty years in the past, but it no longer rings true for me. Oh, I spent my life doing emergency work of all kinds, volunteered in churches as a lector, server, etc. and have spent my retirement donating and supporting those in need. But my new church has become following evangelicals like yourselves, studying and taking courses in the Bible and I'm happy at this point, knowing the end is so near. I guess I just want to hear that I'm okay and not letting Jesus down at this stage of my life. God Bless you all for your many uplifting blessings for everyone ~ your programs are essential to us. For me, there's WAY more Biblical Truth in these messages than in anything I ever heard in a dedicated building. And I can pursue your information for hours on end, not just Sunday. I have to agree with you that theres no great revival on the horizon until the 144,000. God Bless you all ~
Hi Carla! I'm so glad to hear that the Lord was able to encourage you through the reading. Keep getting into His word, studying it and taking any opportunity the Lord presents you with to share Jesus. Don't let the enemy put doubt in your mind. Remember that he's a liar and a thief. He wants nothing more than to discourage you and get you down. Because, if he can manage to do that, you won't do the work that God's called you to do in your sphere of influence. Keep trucking forward. Keeping plowing through. In Jesus name!!! As I say often times, we are living on borrowed time. He's coming back for us soon. As I survey the landscape of the world, I see more and more shadows of things to come on the other side of the rapture predicted of in scripture. This tells me that the time is at hand. You are His and He is yours. Trust in Him alone and look to Him alone. You're doing great! Blessings.

Maranatha!
Well said, dear brother, and sadly, so true. Thank you for this!
Hi Marsha. Thanks for the uplifting words. As you said, sad indeed. But God!!!
Wow, this article packed quite a well-deserved and bitterly truthful punch! Very well written and very well said!
